Many events is a good thing. But – many events can also be a bad thing for the event list.

Currently, Zwift has loaded the calendar with about 7.000 events, and trying to show all that in a single page will cause problems on some devices.

To help fix that problem the default is now to show 3 days per page. You can still choose to override this setting by clicking the button “See 1 / 2 / 3 / 7 / all days”.

This week the event list was improved in a couple of ways:

• Faster load times with paging
• See number of slots in TT events

Paging

The most important important is that it now is configurable if you want to see events from one, two, three, or all days per page. This way you can choose to load fewer days, reducing the time it takes to load the page.

If you want the old behaviour, just select ‘all’ (which is the default).

Your choice is stored in the local storage of your browser so it is remembered between visits to the page. You can also choose to use different settings in different browsers on different devices.

Time Trial info

For the time trial riders it has become easier to see how many slots a TT has in total:

You can now see number of signed up riders as well as the number of slots in total per group.

Which worlds are open today?

Which events can I join today?

What are the routes available in the open worlds?

These questions can be answered from the new Zwift Today page with the easy to remember URL zwifthacks.com/today.

Events: A new ‘Steering not allowed’ tag

A new ‘Steering not allowed’ filter was added in the ZwiftHacks event list.

ZwiftMap: Use Npcap

To use the network capture features in ZwiftMap for Windows the recommendation is to use Npcap, installed with the WinPcap compatibility option.¹

Events: See all Steering events

The ‘Steering allowed’ filter in the ZwiftHacks event list has just been changed to show all the events with ‘steering’ or ‘steeringrace’ tags.

Events: Show power up distribution

If an event is configured with special power up probabilities it will be in the event facts section. Here is an example from an ZHQ steering race:

Routes: Bug fix for unchecking route

In some cases a route could not be unchecked in the Routes list. It has been fixed.

Events: Filter events on checked / unchecked routes

If you use the new way to track your route badges you may like to know that you can filter events by routes you have checked or not checked:

Events: Fence

This is actually a few weeks old, but it is worth mentioning that you can filter fenced events. Most fenced events are configured with the No kick mode, but some are actually configured to Zap flyers.

Events: More teams / community groups added

More teams / community groups have been added to the filters:

1. WinPcap and WinPcap10 are outdated and do not work properly in recent Windows 10 versions.

The Zwift Routes page here at ZwiftHacks is the place for it.

Go to the routes page and check / uncheck whether you have the badges. Unless you decide otherwiser, the information is only stored locally, in local storage in just that one browser.

However, you can choose to sync it to the ZwiftHacks server. To do that, click ‘Get a personal sync URL’ and copy / bookmark the URL (web page address) which is generated for you.

It opens in your browser if you click the right arrow button as shown here:

Whenever you use that special, personal sync URL you will see your route badge check marks. It doesn’t matter which browser or device you use – just use that URL and any changes you make will be synced to the server.

To be clear: The only data that is stored at the server is the sync key (which is part of the URL) and which routes have been checked. Nothing else is saved.

Keep your bookmark safe

Be aware that your URL / sync key is unique. Also, since it’s not recorded who created it, there is no way to help you recall it if you forget to save it / bookmark it.

Here another trick: When you are at your personal route page, check the box ‘Remember personal URL in this browser’. It stores a record of your personal URL in the local storage of your browser. Why? Because now the route page will automatically redirect you to your personal page whenever you go to the regular https://zwifthacks.com/app/routes URL.

The route list can easily be filter with the new Checked/Not checked filter as you can see demonstrated here:

Bonus

Heres a bonus: The Event list will also show your checked routes badges.

At the top of the page you find three collapsible sections:

Menus and filters

• Menu – here you can trigger a reload, select your display preferences, and toggle the display of already started events
• Legend – here you find an explanation of the codes used in the Type column
• Filters – here you filter and search for events

At the bottom of the page you can

• see the number of events currently found
• see which filter is applied
• create a shareable link to your filter
• clear all filters

Mobile

The mobile layout is practically the same as before but now with the same menus/sections at the top of the page as you have just seen.

In the filter section the new icons hopefully makes it easier to distinguish between the many different filters.
