Updates to TR-Z-move https://zwifthacks.com/updates-to-tr-z-move/ https://zwifthacks.com/updates-to-tr-z-move/#comments Sun, 15 Nov 2020 08:58:43 +0000 https://zwifthacks.com/?p=87537 Update 2020-11-15 15:57 CET: An updated version of the installer has just been uploaded.

TR-Z-move is updated to version 8 with a couple of new features:

  • Option to close with Zwift
  • Layout adjustment + read more link
  • New hotkey #t to activate TR
  • New hotkey ^tab to move
  • Auto close with TR

Important notice

Starting with this version of zwift-login the installation package has changed in a couple of important ways:

  1. The default install location is now the folder %AppData%\ZwiftHacks instead of Documents\Zwift\Scripts
  2. To reduce the risk of false anti-virus alerts, scripts will only be distributed in their original, un-compiled form. Instead, the installer will do the compilation locally at your PC during installation.

Read more about this in About the installer package.

TR-Z-move works with the new TrainerRoad desktop app https://zwifthacks.com/tr-z-move-works-with-the-new-trainerroad-desktop-app/ https://zwifthacks.com/tr-z-move-works-with-the-new-trainerroad-desktop-app/#comments Sat, 13 Jul 2019 08:59:29 +0000 https://zwifthacks.com/?p=86275 TR-Z-move has been updated to version 4.

The big news is that it now supports the new TrainerRoad desktop app (both the beta and the official version). Other than that it works just like before.

In previous versions of TrainerRoad the workout instructions could still show on your primary screen and not on the same screen as the workout window itself. It seems that it is not a problem in the new desktop app so the fix for that was removed in v4 of TR-Z-move.

How to use

If you use the ‘Watch for changes’ option it doesn’t matter in which sequence you launch TrainerRoad, Zwift, and TR-Z-Move.

  • Launch TrainerRoad, load your workout. Move the workout window to the screen where you want it (with standard Windows keyboard shortcuts Win+Shift+Right and Win+Shift+Left), and switch to minimal mode.
  • Launch Zwift.
  • Launch TR-Z-Move and make sure that ‘Watch for changes’ is checked.

Prerequisites

  • Windows PC with

What to do if TR-Z-move won’t resize the Zwift window after an update… https://zwifthacks.com/what-to-do-if-tr-z-move-wont-resize-the-zwift-window-after-an-update/ https://zwifthacks.com/what-to-do-if-tr-z-move-wont-resize-the-zwift-window-after-an-update/#comments Thu, 01 Mar 2018 21:53:57 +0000 https://zwifthacks.com/?p=1157 Yes, It is related to the update but is very easy to fix.

Simply close the Zwift launcher (right click the icon in the notification area and choose exit), and everything works just fine when you start Zwift again.

The cause of the problem is that Zwift will be running elevated (as administrator) after the update, and then TR-Z-move doesn’t work properly.

It can also remove the border around Zwift for a cleaner look.

How to use

If you use the ‘Watch for changes’ option it doesn’t matter in which sequence you launch TrainerRoad, Zwift, and TR-Z-Move.

  • Launch TrainerRoad, load your workout, and switch to minimal mode. Move the workout window to the screen where you want it (with standard Windows keyboard shortcuts Win+Shift+Right and Win+Shift+Left).

Fix TrainerRoad minimal mode and arrange the Zwift window above it https://zwifthacks.com/fix-trainerroad-minimal-mode-and-arrange-zwift-window-above-it/ https://zwifthacks.com/fix-trainerroad-minimal-mode-and-arrange-zwift-window-above-it/#comments Sun, 07 Jan 2018 11:21:58 +0000 https://zwifthacks.com/?p=923 TR-Z-move solves two problems:

  1. There is a bug in the current version of TrainerRoad when running on a secondary screen in minimal mode. The workout instructions will still be displayed on your primary screen and not on the same screen as the workout window itself. TR-Z-move fixes this.
  2. I want to arrange the Zwift window to fill the rest of the screen above the TrainerRoad workout window. TR-Z-move resizes and moves Zwift to do so.

The tool can be useful even if you do not run Zwift – if there is no Zwift window to be found it simply fixes the first problem.

How to use

  1. Launch TrainerRoad, load your workout, and switch to minimal mode.
  2. Move the workout window to the screen where you want it (with standard Windows keyboard shortcuts Win+Shift+Right and Win+Shift+Left).
  3. Launch Zwift.
  4. Launch TR-Z-Move or (if it is already running) click the ‘Position windows’ button (you can also just press Enter if the TR-Z-move window is active).
